                64 Heath Street Boxing Gymnasium

64 Heath Street as it is now, but it was once a flourishing boxing gymnasium .Opened in 1912 by Mr and  Mrs James(Jim the pen) Harris, Harry Duncan's manager. Situated in Hampstead village, not far from the hustle and bustle of old London. To manage and run the gymnasium he recruited the talents of the famous American boxer Dixie Kidd. It was home to some well known fighters including Harry Lewis the well known American welter, and the English heavyweight Champion Bombardier Billy wells. It was used as a gymnasium right up to world war two. Today it is a well known Argentinian steak house.
